Order Processing

All orders are processed within 3–7 business days unless otherwise noted on the product page.

  • Original artworks may require additional preparation time for protective crating.
  • Giclée prints are carefully rolled and packaged prior to shipment.
  • You will receive tracking information once your order has shipped.

Business days exclude weekends and holidays.

 

Domestic Shipping (United States)

Orders shipping to the U.S. mainland, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories are treated as domestic shipments.

  • No customs duties or VAT apply.
  • You will only pay the shipping rate displayed at checkout.
  • Delivery timelines typically range from 2–7 business days depending on carrier and destination.

Lucien Downes Art ships from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, via trusted carriers including USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

International Shipping (Outside the United States)

We proudly ship worldwide.

Original Artwork

  • Wrapped in protective archival materials
  • Corner-protected
  • Double-boxed or crated when necessary
  • Insured for full purchase value
  • Signature confirmation required upon delivery

Giclée Prints (Unframed)

  • Rolled in acid-free protective tissue
  • Shipped in heavy-duty crush-resistant tubes
  • Proper diameter selected to prevent curl stress
  • Fully insured

Shipping Carriers

Carrier selection is based on:

  • Destination
  • Package size and weight
  • Delivery reliability
  • Transit time

Available carriers may include USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
Tracking information is provided for all shipments.

Delivery & Signature Requirements

High-value artwork may require:

  • Adult signature upon delivery
  • Photo confirmation (carrier dependent)

If delivery is attempted and no one is available to sign, the carrier will follow their standard redelivery procedures.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

If your artwork arrives damaged:

  1. Photograph the packaging and artwork immediately.
  2. Retain all packing materials.
  3. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

All shipments are insured. Claims must be initiated promptly.

Lucien Downes Art is not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by customs
  • Carrier-related delays
  • Incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout
